Well, that whole World Series thing certainly didn't go as we might have wanted around here. The Rockies really are a much better team than they appeared to be over the course of the last 4 games though, and it's a real shame they couldn't manage to perform up to their potential in at least one of the games on the national stage. Eric Byrnes might say the Red Sux were just lucky, but the Rockies got outhit, outpitched, and outplayed by Boston in all 4 games. You could probably say they were "outRockied" as they wound up getting a strong dose of the same sort of medicine they'd been dealing over the last 6 weeks or so.
Oh well, last time I checked there were still 15 other teams in the National League that didn't even get the chance to have the Red Sux spank them in the World Series. Good job on winning the 2007 NL pennant, no one can ever take that away from you. And thanks for a great season!
As for those American League punks - we'll get them next year (spring training starts in 124 days).
