Given their latest Rugby World Cup meltdown, it appears that the New Zealand All Blacks have decided to rebuild their national rugby team from scratch.
To become a member of the All Blacks, a player is not only required to be an elite rugger, he must also be able to perform the traditional pre-match haka with both style and vigor (the haka is a Maori war dance used by the All Blacks to intimidate their opposition). Prospective new Kiwi players must obviously possess extraordinary rugby skills, but before they can be fully considered as representatives of their rugby-mad nation, they must also spend hours practising and perfecting the art of the haka. If you have never seen the All Blacks haka performed you have really missed out, it truly is one of the most interesting rituals in the sporting world. Fortunately for you, I have stumbled across an audition video of some new All Black hopefuls performing their haka for the team's selection committee.
Enjoy.
I must admit that these new candidates seem a bit small for top-level rugby though...
